Perhaps this is obvious, yet often I find that many of us do not know what loving kindness is. We surround ourselves with critics or with people who do not know how to support us and hope to feel empowered. The answer is—find better people and expect less from the people who do not support you. It seems simple enough, but it surprisingly is not. We often learn to accept less if we never knew better and in our adulthood we find (if we hope to have a better life) we need to unlearn this terrible habit of investing in the wrong group.
